Gymnastic skills are an integral part of CrossFit’s training methodology and feature frequently in our workouts, ranging from pull-ups and push-ups, through to more advanced and demanding movements such as muscle ups and handstand walking.  The programming for our Gymnastics classes focuses on developing both the skill and the strength required to perform and improve these gymnastic movements. Our classes are suitable for all levels, with lots of effective drills and progressions, whether you are working towards your first pull-up or aiming to improve your handstand walking.

 

The programming for each class, typically, comprises three different movements.  One of these will be our ‘movement of the month’, which will be included in each class for that particular month – we have found that this intensive focus on a skill produces significant improvements. We run a test week biannually to allow members to track their progress.
